Flossing…it's not just for gums anymore!

Flossing Adds 1.5 Years to Your Life Expectancy!

Inflamed gums result from not flossing. Recent research studies found that chronic inflammation leads to the release of oral bacteria into the bloodstream, a possible explanation for having gum disease and the higher incidence of heart attack, stroke and other age-related diseases. Researchers at Kiel University in Germany found that the bacteria which cause inflamed gums enter the blood stream and collect in the blood vessels known as the coronary arteries that feed the heart. This contributes to blockages, or plaque buildup that occurs there.

Floss daily to remove the bacteria that cause decay, bad breath, gum disease and reduce the incidence of stroke and heart disease.
